Author: Cindy Klinger, R.D.

For as long as she can remember, Cindy has been a foodie. Her mom likes to say that as a small child, she would eat a large dinner and an hour or so later, sit on her dad’s lap and eat half of his, too. Her love of food led her to explore its health benefits, and the more she started to learn, the more interested she became. After becoming certified as a health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she decided to pursue a masters in nutrition and become a registered dietitian nutritionist. She has worked with a variety of clients in different settings ranging from refugees, seniors in a retirement home, and new moms. She also specializes in a variety of services from uncovering food sensitivities to relieving autoimmune conditions, supporting weight management & helping manage diabetes, infertility, and brain functionality (mood disorders, ADD, anxiety, depression, etc). As a former journalist (and Dateline enthusiast!), Cindy enjoys the process of communicating and sharing questions and answers with clients around their health concerns. She blends lessons she’s learned along her own path, and focuses on functional and integrative nutrition to dive deep into the root cause of health concerns and associated symptoms. When she’s not doing nutrition-y stuff, she’s playing with her puppy, checking out events around town, getting out into nature, foraging at farmers markets, reading, cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, or trying to learn a hobby of the week.
