Why “Bikini Season” is a Waste of Your Time
Tired of all the magazine covers, posts, blogs, articles and updates telling us it’s time to prep for bikini season? Yeah, we are too. Don’t worry – this isn’t another one.
Obsessing about bikini season and losing weight for summer is a terrible idea. What happens when summer’s over? You forget about your health because it doesn’t seem to affect your “bikini body”? Don’t know about you, but doesn’t a year-round hot bod sound better?
We want more than crash-diet, deprivation-based, temporary success for you.
Focusing all your energy on “losing weight for summer” or dieting “for bikini season” will lead you to failure, no question. With a temporary mindset, you’ll have temporary success and yo-yo yourself into giving up altogether. It’s only a matter of time until that emotionally draining strategy backfires. No thanks.

Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself
Attitude is everything. After all our experience helping clients change their lives – we know a thing or two about what makes an attitude more or less successful. For starters, the more successful ones aren’t focused solely on weight loss. Don’t do a crash diet. Even if it’s just a few days. That’s teaching yourself a habit – don’t listen to what your body has to tell you, don’t give your body what it really needs. Don’t eat well just to “look good.” With that mindset you’re training yourself to eat with your mind rather than eating for nourishment and listening to your body’s signals.
Wouldn’t you rather set yourself up to eat for fuel and feel awesome along the way? For your mind and body to be in harmonious balance? Don’t be at war with your food or at war with your diet. Come back for a class to reacquaint yourself with intuitive eating. Normal eating. That’s, for lack of a better term – literally our bread and butter.
