  • Want to know if candida (yeast) overgrowth is responsible for your health issues?

What is the big deal with candida / yeast overgrowth?

Naturally occurring yeast in your body that is theoretically kept in check by good bacteria – but unfortunately, we kill off the good guys all the time… especially when we overconsume SUGAR! (Or alcohol, coffee, processed foods, or take antibiotics or birth control pills… sound like anyone you know?!?!?)

Candida is yeast which is a parasitic organisms that lives off of us. It steals nutrients from the food you eat and then emits toxic waste. Digestive yeasts have been shown to produce over 70 known toxins!  Candida occurs when the yeast and bacteria in your GI tract are out of balance or when there is immune system dysfunction. More specifically this dysfunction can be caused by drugs, anti-inflammatories, cortisone, birth control pills, antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, toxic metals (like mercury, lead, cadmium, nickel and aluminum, stress and over-consumption of refined carbohydrates or sugar.

Why should you care about candida / yeast overgrowth?

The imbalance between the good and bad bacteria in your gut can reduce your immune system. A poisonous waste product called acetaldehyde is produced which is transformed into ethanol and converted by the liver into alcohol.  As alcohol builds up in your system, you will feel symptoms of brain fog. Candida can also puncture the mucosal lining of the intestine producing Leaky Gut Syndrome.  Candida can then pass through the “holes” into the blood stream.  When undigested food particles penetrate the bowel wall and enter the bloodstream, the body views them as foreign invaders and directs the immune system to destroy them.  This can result in the development of food allergies or sensitivities, and ultimately an autoimmune disease.  Common Autoimmune Diseases Arthritis (Rheumatoid)  Diabetes Fibromyalgia    Lupus Chronic fatigue   Multiple sclerosis Chrohn’s/Colitis   Skin disorders

Candidiasis can cause many symptoms including:

chronic tiredness; mental sluggishness; chronic vaginitis or prostatitis; anal itching; bloating and other digestive problems; bad breath; extreme sensitivity to tobacco smoke and chemical fumes; mucus in the stools; frequent colds; craving for sugar, bread, and/or alcohol; recurrent fungal infections such as athlete’s foot or toe fungus; difficulty losing weight or maintaining current weight; and low immunity in general. Individuals with systemic Candidiasis may suffer from any of the above symptoms and also may exhibit a scattered and unfocused mind; memory loss; and in severe cases, mental derangements such as manic / depression and delusions. Also common are sensitivities to many foods and environmental substances. Individuals suffering from Candidiasis may be more likely to get infections from yeast and other microorganisms and to be susceptible to pathogenic moisture such as edema and excess mucus.

Julia Changed Her Life, and You Can Too

“Growing up I always had issues with my stomach, and had literally tried everything from random IBS pills my dad would buy on the internet to a non-gluten, and then later a non-dairy diet, but nothing really worked. I was really weak and missed out on a lot of social stuff because I was too sick to do anything. I later found out (by doing the Cambiati Cleanse) that I had been basically paralyzed by hidden issues with my gut. Getting Candida and food intolerances under control made such a huge difference for me! ” – Julia
