How Accurate is the Test?

The overall sensitivity of the blood draw test is 97.14%. That means that it can accurately pinpoint someone who is positive with a 97.14% certainty. The overall specificity is 98.36% which means the ability of the test to identify people without the disease is 98.36%.

The reason that this test is so much more accurate than other tests is that it uses IgM, and IgG. Most antibody tests only use IgG which leaves more room for error. They also test four different antigens making it more accurate.

How Does This Test Compare To Other Antibody Tests?

Most other antibody tests only test 1 protein and 1 antibody. This is insufficient to get accurate results. That is why they can only get to about 60% accuracy rates.

This test will be able to use IGG, IGA, IGM antibody tests to analyze 4 different proteins and 3 different antibodies that are part of the virus.

This also means that if you have recovered from the coronavirus, it will be able to detect that in the IGG results. Based on previous experience with SARS-CoV the antibodies were present 180-240 days later. We do not have enough data to know how far back COVID-19 can be detected.

How much is this test compared to getting it elsewhere?

In our research this test will be much less than the one at the hospital typically is because a health care practitioner is not required. NOTE: If you are having symptoms you need to seek medical advice immediately whether or not you have this test kit. This kit is in no way a substitute for medical care.

Is This Test Kit FDA Approved?

Yes, this test is the first dried blood spot antibody test to receive FDA EUA and is from a private lab that is CLIA and CAP-certified. The laboratory testing is performed in California.

We are a small female-owned business that would never put our client’s health at risk. We have worked with this vendor to provide medical nutrition testing for us and we trust them to provide accurate test kits to you and your loved ones.

What Do I do If I Test Positive?

Contact a health care provider immediately. They will be able to provide the best course of action. Also contact us because we do have products that help outcomes without causing a cytokine storm. We have been extensively researching what helps and who it is helpful for, but you need to also contact a medical practitioner.

Keep in mind that there can be long-lasting effects (by long-lasting we mean years after) of having coronavirus. You need to develop a plan to support the body in the long term. Ask us about our coronavirus ongoing support programs.

If I Had Coronavirus but don't Anymore Can This Test Detect It?

If you have recovered from the test it will be able to detect that in the IGG results. Based on previous experience with SARS-CoV the antibodies were present 180-240 days later. We do not have enough data to know how far back COVID-19 can be detected.

Can I ship to a PO Box?

We cannot ship test kits to a PO Box. Sorry, it’s not our policy, it’s a regulatory issue.

Is This Test a PCR Test ?

No, this test leverages our private lab’s existing competency with blood testing. This will be a finger prick test that you can do yourself at home. Right now we are doing blood draws with a mobile phlebotomist.

Each person will remain in his or her car, and the mobile phlebotomist will come to your car to take the test. She will be using an N95 mask to protect you and her. she will follow strict disinfecting guidelines.

What If I Am Taking an Immunosuppressant Drug?

In the event that you are on immunosuppressive drugs please let us know because that can impact the results. You may want to do a total IgG antibody test to determine if you antibodies are at a level high enough to be detected for the greatest accuracy.

What Certifications Does the Processing Lab Hold?

All of our laboratory testings is done in a CLIA- and CAP-certified laboratory in California.

Learn more about CAP certifications here: https://www.cap.org/laboratory-improvement/accreditation/laboratory-accreditation-program

Can I Get a Diagnosis with This Test?

A single serology test is typically not used for a COVID-19 diagnosis. A best practice is to get the results and depending on where the infection stage is either take another test or do a PCR swab. A doctor may decide to make a different determination with just these results but that is up to your primary care physician. For most people they want the peace of mind rather than a diagnosis.

Important to Know

The Antibody test is a serology test which measures the number of antibodies or proteins present in the blood when the body is responding to a specific infection. Results from antibody testing shouldn’t be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection. Positive results may be due to past or present infection with non-SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus strains, such as coronavirus HKU1, NL63, OC43, or 229E.
