Pregnancy
How to have a healthy pregnancy? One of the keys is to ensure you and your baby are getting the nutrients you both need. And quality really matters here. Please don’t buy vitamins at the grocery store – no matter how compelling the sales person is in “Whole Paycheck”.
We recommend at minimum Probiotic Synergy (powder is easy, but if you love caps they are also available) and the Prenatal Pro Essential Packets. A box contains a 60 day supply of packets. You take one packet a day that contains 3 prenatal vitamins, an Omega-3 and one tablet for bone health.
When to start Prenatal Pro Essential Packets? If you are already pregnant, you want to start right away. If nausea is an issue, take the prenatals with your last meal of the day if that helps. If you are not yet pregnant, start them right away as well. Ideally, you want to ensure your body has everything it needs at conception. A lot happens in those early weeks, before most of us know we’re even pregnant!
Consult your doctor to find out if you also need Vitamin D (most of us do) and additional Calcium/Magnesium. We often recommend the Cal/Mag 2:1 during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
